Goshwara was the term used to describe a perfect teardrop shape in the court of Persian and Indian kings and still used in layman’s terms in cutting factories. Meant to display the perfect proportions, the shape was also considered the very embodiment of femininity due to its soft but luxurious curves.  Only the finest craftsmen could create a goshwara, and only the finest goshwaras were considered suitable for the royal court.

It is this sense of perfection and beauty that guides the jewelry of Goshwara today. In a world where tradition has too often given way to the latest and greatest, jewelry by Goshwara is guided by the principles that remain timeless. Goshwara is not just a name, it’s a philosophy.

Artist’s Statement

My family has been in the jewelry industry for over 40 years. My father is a colored stone dealer & manufacturer. Growing up, I have helped my father wash and assort rough emeralds, visited stone mines with him in Africa, and learnt manufacturing techniques in cutting factories in Jaipur (India).

Gemstones always fascinated me and I always saw endless possibilities with them. Having a jewelry company of my own and in house stone and jewelry manufacturing capabilities helped in making my dreams a reality. I always want colors to be the highlight of my jewelry; hence I create jewelry pieces that are simple in design, yet are bold and fun and make a fashion statement. Above all I always want my jewelry to be comfortable.

I love to mix colors, and always feel that colors have the ability to change/reflect moods and highlight moments in an individual’s life, hence the variety of color combinations that Lush offers its customers.
